In the month of May we will continue with work started in April. we will continue watch for signs of spring. Our vegetables continue to grow and will start looking more like vegetables. Our grass is getting thicker and the children are doing a great job taking care of it.

We have started to work on rhyming and what it means to rhyme words. The children are coming up with great rhyming words.

Year end Celebration: The Last day of school is June 14th. Dismissal will be at 12:00. Parents are encouraged to com and join the last day festivities. We will have lots of outside games and an obstacle course. There will be a closing circle followed by a special ice cream snack.

On June 15th there will be a graduation ceremony for the children who will not be returning to Red Oak. We encourage everyone to attend.

Please remember... Our doors open at 8:00 am. The time before class is vital for the teachers to prepare the classroom for a peaceful and productive day. Please encourage your child to walk through the door so their is calm upon entering the classroom. promptness at pick up time is very important. Children thrive on continuity and waiting is quite a challenge.

With cooler mornings and warmer afternoons, please remember to send apropriate changes of clothes with your children. continue to send extra clothes with your child for outside play. The children will not be stopped from their outside exploration.

Please call by 8:00 am if your child will be absent.

Delays or snow days (happy spring!) will be announced on WMUR channel 9

Please do not send your child to school with the following symptoms: heavily running nose or sneezing (clear or otherwise), sneezing or coughing, headache or mild fever, or any communicable disease.  Children must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.  If a child is sent home from school, please keep him/her home the following day for rest.  Please call the school when your child is out for the day due to illness.  Report all communicable diseases to us ASAP, as we must post any occurrences.  Please encourage the practice of coughing/sneezing into one's upper arm, using tissues for noses, and washing hands after touching sick noses.
